Wind plays a large role in our lives. From helping us dry our laundry more quickly and keeping us cool on hot days, to providing energy via wind turbines, helping plants expand by blowing their seeds around and more, wind truly is wonderful.
In Wonderful Wind you and your little one will get to celebrate and embrace wind, by scavenging the environment centre grounds, to find the materials you need to make your very own wind chime! We will also have pinecones, beads and shells for you to decorate with. You’ll also get to craft a homemade windsock out of tissue or toilet paper, and scour the ground to find various windmill pictures scattered around, to learn about wind and help you answer some questions!
Tickets are for one adult and one child, additional adults may be required to wait outside to ensure enough room for all participants – thank you for your understanding.
