Buggin’ About

Every Friday term time, 10am – 11.30am, £5 per child

Does your little one love nature and adventure? Our pre-school nature group has a different weekly theme but always has lots of opportunity to learn about nature through exploration and craft activities. Come and learn about the world all around you and practice those key development skills.

Seniors Club

1st and 3rd Monday of the month, 1.30pm – 3.30pm, £3.50. *January dates are Monday 13th and 27th, with normal schedule resuming in February.

Bi-monthly meet up for seniors. Join us to share a game, a chat or a hobby. No need to book in advance, just turn up and join in the fun.

 

 

 

Brilliant Birds

Saturday 25th January, 10am – 11:30am/12pm – 1:30pm, £4.50 for one child and one adult

Join us for a celebration of our feathered friends on Brilliant Birds! Build your very own bird nest, follow the bird trail, decorate your very own bird (perhaps to place in your new bird nest?) and enjoy a bit of birdwatching with some likeminded people!

Terrarium Workshop

Saturday 1st February, 1pm – 3.30pm, *** FULLY BOOKED ***

Delve into the fascinating world of terrariums with Seb from Terrapy. You’ll learn about the history of these incredible glasshouses and make your own tropical creation to take home and keep.

 

Nature Stories: Aliens Love Underpants

Wednesday 19th February, 10am – 11.30am, £6.50 per child

An immersive storytelling session as we travel around the centre grounds. Full of crafting and other fun activities to bring the story alive.

Character Lunch

Thursday 20th February, 11am – 12.30pm or 1pm – 2.30pm, £16.50 per child

Join us for a session full of fun police and fire themed activities as well as a children’s lunch box with our favourite paw pals. There will be plenty of photo opportunities with our furry doggy friends.

Book Art

Friday 21st February, 10am – 11am or 11.30am – 12.30pm, £4.50 per person

We are celebrating World Book Day early with some book themed crafts. Join us to learn how to make your own book hedgehog to take home and keep. You’ll also be designing and decorating a wooden bookmark for your favourite story books.

Prosecco with Earrings

Sunday 23rd February, 12pm – 2pm, £15 per person

Our first Prosecco with event of the year is a chance to learn how to make your own stylish earrings. Join us to make 4 pairs of earrings from our huge selection of beads. Clip on earrings also available.

Stress Management

Saturday 15th March, 10am – 12:30pm, £10 per person plus a booking fee

Join us for the first wellness session of the year at the Singleton Environment Centre! In Stress Management, you will get to learn about the causes of stress, its effects on the body, the fight or flight response, panic attacks and hyperventilation. Alongside learning about stress, you will also learn some instant calming techniques, long term stress management, the benefits of relaxation and you will get to learn and practise 3 relaxation techniques.

Your ticket includes tea and coffee, with all proceeds going to the centre charity.

Pond dipping

Please note the pond is only available as a supervised activity and these are limited in number. The newts are a protected species.

Pond dipping

Under careful supervision, and with approved nets and specimen trays, our very special pond will be explored on future dates – TBC.
